First Visit
If you have not done so prior to the appointment, when you arrive, you will have to complete a patient information and a medical history form. Dr. Caryl will then conduct an oral examination to observe the bite of your teeth and look for any malocclusions or bite problems that can be corrected with orthodontic treatment. Following the exam, Dr. Caryl will discuss any orthodontic problems and treatment options. If the doctor decides it is necessary to begin treatment immediately, we will schedule a time.
Photographs and a panoramic radiograph are routinely taken to help discuss the malocclusion and to make it easier to visualize the problem areas. If you have had a panoramic radiograph taken within the past few months, you may bring it in or have it sent to the office. The image will be used in lieu of a routine digital panoramic radiograph.
