A specialist in children and adult orthodontics, Dr. William Caryl earned his doctorate degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry. He completed his residency in orthodontics at Loyola University of Chicago School of Dentistry, where he earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology and a certificate of proficiency in orthodontics.
He has been practicing orthodontics at his facility in Camillus, New York for over 30 years. Dr. Caryl is a member of several organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Fifth District Dental Society. He has served on the executive board of the New York State Society of Orthodontics for over 10 years.
Dr. Caryl is on staff at St. Joseph's Hospital and at SUNY Upstate, where he works with the dental residents. They do minor orthodontic treatment, and he gives lectures on orthodontics.
In his spare time, Dr. Caryl enjoys boating, cycling, gardening and reading. He has twin sons: David is a general dentist practicing in Syracuse, while Mark is a hospitalist currently working at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York.
