A specialist in children and adult orthodontics, Dr. William Caryl earned his doctorate degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dentistry. He completed his residency in orthodontics for the Loyola University of Chicago School of Dentistry, where he earned a master of science in oral biology.
He has been practicing orthodontics at his facility in Camillus, NY for 28 years. Dr. Caryl is a member of several organizations, including the Amerian Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Fifth District Dental Society. He is currently program chairman for the New York State Society of Orthodontists. He has served on the executive board of this organization for five years.
Dr. Caryl is on staff at St. Joseph's Hospital and at SUNY Upstate where he works with the dental residents. They do minor orthodontic treatment and he gives lectures on orthodontics.
In his spare time he enjoys boating, cycling, gardening and reading. Dr. Caryl has twin sons. David is a general dentist practicing in Syracuse. Mark is a Hospitalist currently working at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York.
